A student who receives an academic scholarship must enroll as a full-time student (12 semester hours or more) in order to use the academic scholarship. 
Students who receive the academic scholarship as entering freshmen are in effect receiving a two year scholarship for four consecutive long semesters, if they maintain "satisfactory grades." 
Students who receive the scholarship as first semester freshmen can expect to receive the scholarship for three consecutive long semesters, if they maintain "satisfactory grades." Students who receive the scholarship as sophomores can expect to receive the scholarship for two consecutive long semesters if they maintain "satisfactory grades."

Church's Scholarship for Seniors Deadline March 1, 2014

The Church's Partners Foundation, Inc. (CPF) has established a scholarship program to assist high school seniors residing in eligible communities in Texas who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for part-time or full-time study at an accredited U.S. institution of the student's choice.
The program is administered by Scholarship Management Services, a division of Scholarship America. Scholarship Management Services is the nation's largest designer and manager of scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability or national origin.

Eligibility

Applicants to the Church's Chicken Community Scholarship Program must:
  • Be living in one of the following communities or surrounding areas in Texas: Brownsville, Harlingen, McAllen or San Antonio.
  • Be graduating high school seniors or be graduating from home school education in the U.S.
  • Plan to enroll part-time or full-time, without interruption, for the entire 2014-15 academic year at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the U.S.
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent).
  • Be a resident of the U.S.
Officers, directors and children of officers and directors of CPF are ineligible to apply.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $1,000 award.
Awards are one-time only.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Scholarship for Seniors taking a CTE course

SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE MARCH 28, 2014
Applications must be typed or word-processed and postmarked no later than this date.

Supporting the development of a skilled workforce in Texas, Mahindra USA Inc., and Career and Technology Association of Texas, Inc. have partnered to create the Mahindra Texas Pride scholarship program. The scholarship fund will offer Texas high school seniors participating in CTE the opportunity to obtain scholarships to pursue a college education in preparation to enter a globally competitive workforce.     

Mahindra USA generously sponsors 12 Mahindra Texas Pride scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each, with one scholarship available for each of the 12 CTAT Areas. CTAT offers additional scholarships annually in the amount of $1,000 each, funded through donations by members and supporters.  

Students participating in any of the CTE Career Cluster programs are eligible to apply. Applicants must plan to enroll as a full-time student in an accredited institution of higher learning for the fall semester of 2014 and the spring semester of 2015.

WINTERGARDEN CHAPTER API SCHOLARSHIP 2014

The Wintergarden Chapter API, Inc.  is accepting applications for its 2014 Scholarship program.  This Scholarship is applicable to acquiring a Bachelor's Degree.  Value is $3,000.00 per year, payable at the rate of $1,500.00 per semester.  This will be determined on a yearly basis according to available funding; therefore, semester amount is subject to change.  To qualify for consideration, an application must

  1. Be a resident of the Winter Garden area and attend one of the following high schools:
Carrizo Springs, Charlotte, Cotulla, Crystal City, Dilley, Jourdanton, La Pryor, Pearsall,
Pleasanton, Poteet or Uvalde;

  1. Have a scholastic record that would justify consideration for scholarship;

  1. Have filed and completed application for scholarship with the committee by
April 15, 2014;

  1. Submit a current official transcript by the due date.  AN OFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT MUST ACCOMPANY THIS APPLICATION.

  1. Be a resident of the United States;


  1. Submit a personal letter as to why you, the applicant, deserve to be considered for this scholarship.
